Roaming around the east coast of UAE

We set out to explore the possibility of doing an Everesting Roam in the hills and mountains of Fujairah and Sharjah. We startet in Dibba and ended the ride in Kalba, hitting all climbs we could find on the way. After riding for more than 15 hours we only accumulated 5000 meters of elevation. The plan was to avoid the big mountains such as Jais, Yibir and Hafeet but still find enough inclination for a full Roam. We figured that is not very realistic. Nevertheless, the ride included many scenic climbs.

Oman enclave

One of us almost collapsed in Oman fighting a surprisingly steep hill and the not so shockingly midday heat. We both pushed on an enjoyed the scenery.

Hanging Gardens in Kalba

The finished with a classic climb in Kalba. The Hanging Gardens is popular among Everesting enthusiasts and often features on hill rides in the area.
